Check it out...The Beretta Xtrema2

OMG, its like looking into the future.....

I can just about see Seb doing this kinda shit in a couple o' weeks, seeing as he's finished school now.
All he needs is a big aasss synthesizer, or to get his MacBook working so that he can start up Garage band.

Or actually, this could've been Felix if he ever got that Creative Keyboard Keyboard.

Skating Robots???

Yes, apart from doing the regular crappy robo-shit (walking and waving), someone has finally made a robot with maad skillz yo!

Although it doesn't beat me on skateboarding prowess, it'd wipe the floor with Jorge at the Roller Disco.

Customise Your BSOD

Here's a cool little 'how to' that show you how to customise your Blue Screen Of Death.

I haven't had one of these for my new PC, so don't really know if I can be bothered to do it. Plus if you get a BSOD, no matter what it says, your still gonna get pissed (well, unless it reminds you how piss poor M$/Windows is).

How freaking cool is this!!!! Fuck Windows Vista Ultimate Edition Areo Glass!!!

But first I need my Wacom Cintiq 21UX. It may take years of whoring myself out to save up money for this, but I'll do it goddamnit!!!

Fuck the File Server!!!

Lets get one of these new Buffalo NAS devices. I'ma say the 4 drive (2TB Max storage) would be good. Then we can remove that stupid 'server' from the network, it doesn't even do anything apart from get hot and run all freakin' day.

Creative Unleash Their iNano Beater

Check out this post from engadget which details the CNet review of the Creative Zen V Plus.

I might get one of these. Awesome.

Opera vs. Firefox

To be honest, anyone who like Internet Explorer should be shot. It's like advocating having George W. Bush run your country for another 4 years. Well, at least he's a good puppet for the powers that actually rule the world.

Anyway, in the ever expanding market of internet browsers comes the new release of Opera (version 9 to be exact). It supports RSS, IRC, BitTorrent, and Widgets. So seems kinda cool, and may even be a FireFox beta (get it? beater/beta - hahahaha.....*sigh*). Also Nintendo are using Opera in the Wii and DS. Anyway some dood has written a review of Opera 9.

Check it out here.

Tony Hawk's Project 8

Well, not to say that the Tony's Hawk series is over the hill, but his last outing (American Wasteland) was a complete waste of time. The PC version was even worse, being a very bad port of the console versions.
Here's my rundown of the Tony Hawk series:
  1. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater - Excellecnt, breath of fresh air in the stale Madden/NBA oriented sports genre. Even though you couldn't do manuals!! it still rawked.

  2. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 - Better than the first, new tricks (including the Roast-Beef, that has never made an appearance again in the series - actually the only trick I can do that isn't in the current Tony Hawk games!!), and new maps.

  3. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 - OK, kinda getting old now. Uninteresting maps. Graphics getting dated. But they improved the controls, double tapping directions and trick buttons added a new level of tricking - double tap flip on a varial flip to get a tre....genius.

  4. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 - Just like the others, with some gameplay enhancements. Was kinda fun. Basically the same as THPS3.

  5. Tony Hawk's Underground - The underground revolution, when every game seemed to have 'Underground' in the title. This was OK, added some new control enhancements. Maps were kinda silly. But overall I enjoyed it.

  6. Tony Hawk's Underground 2 - Same a before. A few gameplay 'improvements'. Graphics going downhill. Stupid story, jumping on the Jackass/Bam Margera bandwagon. Oh dear. I never played this coz it just looked so bad.

  7. Tony Hawk's American Wasteland - I guess I expected too much from this game. Basically its the same engine but with some 'gameplay enhancements'. Um....no more loading....bullshit. "Yeah, you skate down this corridor thing and you end up in the next hub. See. No loading" Boring. The story was OK, the maps got progressively crazier, the graphic....oh dear. The inclusion of bikes was fun but was just generally filler. No challenge to a Tony Hawk's series pro. It was kinda cool at the end when you got to jam with all the skaters in the park you made.

The series just seems to tack on more tricks, new gameplay quirks, stupid maps. There's really nothing new when it comes to a Tony Hawk's game. Was I expecting too much with the create a skater options, or making the game slightly more realistic. The series has just become more arcade and gimmicky to appeal to the largest common denominator. I feel it has also presented an image of skateboarding that I'm not too agreeable with.
I really only liked THPS2 and THUG, all the rest were just a regurgitation of the old stuff.

Hopefully Tony Hawk's Project 8 will solve all this. This game looks freakin' HAWT!!! Paul Rodriguez, Rodney Mullen, Stevie Williams!!! Those models are awesome!! The screenshots have the correct body positions!!! Please don't fuck this one up Neversoft. Make us OG's, coz I ain't gonna pour out another malt liquor for this series.

Peace Out.

How NOT to steal a SideKick II

Seeing as these are just coming out over here in the UK, here's a story on how to so steal one.

I've been meaning to post this, but never really had the time. But now seeing as the matter has now finished, I've decided to put it up.
How long do you reckon it'll take for this story so appear in the Metro?

But, still fun, for like 2 minutes.

Photoshop wow-ness

Well, kinda a slow day on the RSS feeds. But I did find this on Digg.com.

The Ravens Are Coming Back Baby!!

OH YEAH!!!!
The Ravens have signed Steve McNair, and he's now in 1st place in the depth chart.

Finally the Ravens may start winning games this season.

Although the Titans did get Vince Young (bastards). Although it kinda was an All-Star top 5 in the draft this season, it was also a nice free agency pool as well. Time for a shake-up!!!

Case mods + Gaming/Multimedia Table

Well that case mods site that I posted (ages ago) has now expanded.
Now they have even more case mods and not necessarily computer case mods.

But looks like there's a guy who has made like 6 MAME tables/cases already!!!

Check out this one

C'mon Seb, graduate already so this Multimedia Table project can begin!!!!
Maybe we should make a blog/diary for it?

Oh yeah I also ordered my DS Lite!! Yipee. I also got Final Fantasy IV for GBA. So bring on the Mario Kart bitches!!!

[Update1: I fixed the title. Although "Case Mode +" seems equally as cool]

Half-Life 2 just (almost) got that bit better

Check out this mod for HL2.

Mario Kart Source

Maybe I'll start playing HL2 once this is released.

Batteries Suck

Yeah, I've learned to hate those new fangled Li-Ion batteries coz they're not really that good (IMHO). Especially because their disadvantages are not widely known/advertised ,this basically leads to you having to replace your Li-Ion batteries in 2-3 years for peak performance. Like how I had to replace my 3G iPod battery last month coz the charge was lasting 2-3 hours instead of 6-8 hours!!
At least I didn't have to pay $100 for apple to fix it, just £15 from Maplin (the plastic tools were shit tho and broke little bits of plastic into my iPod, I ended up using a flat head screwdriver).

Check out the differences in battery types:
Li-Ion
NiCad
NiMH

This blog might be moving....

Well, I'm kinda disappointed with blogger. Only coz the free blog hosting doesn't provide some features that I would like to have (a search function or a calender to check the posts per day).

So I might move this blog and use a different engine, either:
blojsom
or
WordPress
or
pMachine Pro
or
Textpatterm

Note: all of these are free. Yay!

[Update]: added pMachine and Textpattern engine.

Now this is some interaction

Check out what this guy is doing for his PhD.

Awesome

Now that is some fucking interaction!!

Finally justice is served!!!

Hahahaha!!!! Fuck Gibson Guitars!!! They haven't made any good guitars for like 20 years!!!

errrmmm....If you haven't heard, the Gibson injunction against the PRS Singlecut, was over-turned. This means that PRS can now make and sell their Singlecut guitars legally!!! Woo hoo!!! Finally I can save up for that PRS Tremonti.
Gibson have been selling their shit just on their name. Over priced guitars of questionable quality. The only Gibson's worth buying are the vintage ones.
Might as well buy an Epiphone.

Gamespot Footy International Friendly

Gamespot has decided to start the (football, not soccer) World Cup early by hosting an international friendly on Wednesday 7th June @ 20:00 GMT (aka 'proper time').
Its gonna be UK vs. USA in a game of "2006 FIFA World Cup" on XBOX360.

The game will be braodcast with commentary on Gamespot.

Oblivion Help

Ahh....Oblivion, the huge (albeit repetative at times), RPG from Bethesda. Its so freakin' awesome!!! But its lloooooonnggg.....Not as long as "The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall" though (apparently the game world was approximately the size of Great Britain with 15,000 towns to visit!!).

If only I was still at school I'd be playing this all day, kinda like Baldur's Gate 2 during GCSE's and A-Levels, and Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 during University. I almost rinsed FFX (on my friends PS2) in about 200 hours.

If anyone has a copy of FFX that they'd like to sell, I'm game. I want that 100%!!!!

Anyway, back to Oblivion....
I've found some wiki's that could help anyone stuck in the game, or just for general interest in TESIV:O

The Elder Scrolls Wiki - Oblivion
Oblivion (only) Wiki
Oblivion Mods Wiki

Has Ice Cube sold out?

From crazy motherfuck to folky fagness....

Hi, I'm Tom Skerritt.....

you may remember me from such films as Poison Ivy (I got to simulate having sex with a 17 year old Drew Barrymore - yeah I tapped that ass!!), and errrr....you know....other film and stuff.

You can now catch me HERE trying hard to remember my lines, and finding it hard to read the cue cards.

"Thanks for visiting....I'm Tom Skerritt"

Photos Taken With An Ice Lens

I know its not a lightsaber or anything cool like Golgo 13, but these pics are quite cool. Especially the last couple, coz they kinda look like Monet paintings.

Seth MacFarlane does Kung-Fu?

Actually, I don't know if he actually does any 'physical' form of martial art. Unless you count bashing the keys on your keyboard a martial art.

Check out the American Dad vs. Family Guy Kung-Fu flash game.

Although the argument is flawed as everyone know Family Guy always wins.

Reminisce the Days of Innocence...

when we were but young children back in the 80's.
Aahhh.....those halcyon days, a time when all things were gay and we didn't care to understand the science behind talking humanoid turtles, or how 15ft robots could transform into 2ft boomboxes.

Well....we can now relive those days......right now.....right here

Also, speaking of 'halcyon'. Does anyone remember that free episodic game "Halcyon Sun"? See, Steam aren't the first people to do this with Sin episodes or Half-Life episodes. Although I reckon they may have learned from the mistakes of Halcyon Sun.
