I Want A 22-inch Monitor

Well the new widescreen monitor thing is getting kind of ridiculous (ie. the Apple Cinema Screens). I mean, who would pay those prices for a frickin' monitor? Probably only the Apple fanboys, i guess, they wouldn't want a monitor that didn't match their computer.

Anyways, aside for my hate of Apple and Steve Jobs (apart from my 3G iPod and the new 2G iPod Shuffle - out 28th October), there is a new fad of making 22-inch monitors. The only problem is that they won't support a 1080p HD signal coz the vertical resolution is 1050 pixels.

Endgadget has been keeping abreast of this current fashion trend, and today they have brought to my attention a new 22-inch widescreen Iiyama which is selling for £270!!! No HDMI jack or any news of it supporting HDCP via the DVI, but you can't argue with the price!!!

But check out BenQ FP241W (also here's the gay microsite). It supports full 1080p "True HD", plus it supports PiP!!! That's right, freakin' Picture in Picture!!! USB 2.0 Hub, multiple video inputs. What else could you want?
How about the BenQ FP241W Z, which is basically the same, but with some new "AMA Z" technology, that reduces ghosting and increases the clarity of moving images.

I bet they cost bucks tho :(
Oh well, its almost Christmas :D

[Update 1]

Apparently, according to Trusted Reviews it costs £646.24 inc VAT. So not freakin' bad!!!!
